What will you say NO to?
It’s another Wishcasting Wednesday over at Jamie Ridler’s studio. I swear Jamie is reading my mind because the past week, I finished reading Elaine St. James book, Living the Simple Life. In Elaine’s book, she suggested that in order to live an authentic and simple life, we must say No to events that is not aligned with our values. This week Jamie Ridler asks:
What do you wish to say no to?
Well for me, I am not wishing, I am doing. I am saying no to invitations to lunch and dinner outings and Broadway shows. In the past four days, I have said “No” to friends in all of these scenarios mentioned. Not that I don’t want to spend time with them but if you read my previous post, you will understand that I am on the path to simplicity and spending money in an expensive restaurant is not on my agenda these days. And the Broadway play, well, my friend only had one ticket and that would mean my boyfriend would have had to stay home. Not cool.
